ABSTRACT
Your abstract (250 words or less) should clearly define the objective
of your presentation, briefly describe the topics to be covered,
and list major conclusions or recommendations. If you have
not already sent an abstract, please do so by February 15, 2008.
Click here to submit your proposal
electronically. You will receive a confirmation by return email if your poster is accepted. An abstract of each poster presentation will
be included in the Technical Forum Abstracts handout (available
onsite) and will also be included on the 2008 Proceedings CD.
TIMING
The symposium will be held March 31-April 2, 2008 at the Red Lion Hotel
on Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA.
The
Technical Forum will be officially open from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
on Tuesday April 1, in the Emerald Ballroom. You are expected
to be in attendance at your poster booth during those hours.
You
will be responsible for mounting your materials on your assigned
poster board at least 1/2 hour before the opening of the Forum.
PREPARATION
OF A TECHNICAL FORUM (POSTER) PRESENTATION
For detailed information on preparing a poster, click on the following
link to Guidelines
for Technical Forum Presentations, provided by the Forest Products
Society.
The
Technical Forum gives poster presenters an opportunity to answer
questions and talk about their work with one person or a few
people at a time. Poster presenters do not give formal talks
during the Technical Forum. If you have any questions, please
contact Judy
Edmister or Vik Yadama.
THE
SYMPOSIUM TECHNICAL FORUM WILL PROVIDE:
1. 4- by 8-foot poster board
2. A supply of push pins (Velcro is fine, but you need to bring
your own; tape or adhesives are not allowed.)
3. A booth number
4. Table for placement of any handouts you may wish to distribute
5. The Technical Forum Abstracts booklet will be provided to all
attendees

SYMPOSIUM
REGISTRATION AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS
On-line registration is available. Click here to
